We have monitored peculiarities of the dynamics of catastrophic avalanches of the magnetic flux in LTSC and HTSC samples. The observed oscillation mode in the mixed state of superconducting Nb-Ti samples as a result of catastrophic avalanches was discussed in terms of a theoretical model which takes into account the inertial properties of the vortex matter.
