Readme for data deposited alongside publication of 'SquidLab - a user-friendly program for background subtraction and fitting of magnetization data' https://wrap.warwick.ac.uk/132173 Data Archive contains the following directories: - 2018-05-02_4p8kN VI3 piston cylinder cell - 2018-05-06_VI3_cell2_BackgroundScan1_55p68mm - 2018-05-07_VI3_cell2_BackgroundScan2_55p52mm - 2018-05-07_VI3_cell2_BackgroundScan3_56p68mm - 2018-05-07_VI3_cell2_BackgroundScan4_55p88mm - SquidLab - Test_data_Matt_Cliffe and additionally, Matlab figure files of the figures shown in the publication (from which the data can be extracted if opened in Matlab). - SquidLab: this folder contains the source code files, of the version at time of publication. Note that the latest up-to-date version of the codebase will always be hosted at http://wrap.warwick.ac.uk/129665/ '2018-05-02' at the start of a datafile or directory gives the date, year-month-day, on which the measurement was taken. '4p8kN' refers to the load applied to the pressure cell in which the measurement was done. (kilo-Newtons). '55p68mm' refers to the measured total length of the empty pressure cell used for the background scans. The length of the loaded and empty cells must be matched, not the pressure, so this is the key parameter. '2018-05-02_4p8kN VI3 piston cylinder cell' had length 55.50mm, so BackgroundScan2 is appropriate. Each file is an MPMS3 datafile or raw datafile, which readers should be familiar with, and have clearly labelled data columns. '2018-05-02_BackgroundSubtracted_VI3_sample2_SQUIDcell2_4p8kN_MvT_2to300K_ZFC_1000Oe_Royce.txt' is however two columns, exported from SquidLab, of just Temperature, K and Moment, emu. Folder 'Test_data_Matt_Cliffe' are the example data on the Cu(NCS)2 sample, again in MPMS3 data files. Some extra plots are included, as pngs, but are not essential.
