Abstract

The preparation and characterisation of [Pb-5(eta-Cp-S)(4)(OSO2CF3)(6)] 1 obtained by reacting [Pb(eta-Cp-S)(2)] with HOSO2CF3 is described in this paper [Cp-S = C5Me4(SiMe2Bu1)]. The single crystal X-ray study revealed that 1 exists as a polyionic species formed by the aggregation of four molecules of Pb(eta-Cp-S)(+) with one of Pb(OSO2CF3)(6)(4-). Compound 1 was micro-analyzed and studied by solution-state multinuclear NMR spectroscopy and the results are presented and discussed.
