UNSPECIFIED (2000) Encapsulated Tl(III) strongly retained within an iminophenolate cryptand host. JOURNAL OF THE CHEMICAL SOCIETY-DALTON TRANSACTIONS, 8 . pp. 1275-1278. ISSN 0300-9246

Abstract

The crystal structure of a thallium(III) iminophenolate cryptate is reported. Tl(III) is strongly held within the host, as judged by NMR indicators of strength of binding, by both imino-N, (via Tl-203,Tl-205,N-15 coupling of over 1000 Hz in the MAS-CP spectrum) and phenolate-O donors (via the weakness of competitive H-bonding to the phenolate O- groups, seen in the solution H-1 spectrum).
