UNSPECIFIED (1999) Laser-induced gas-phase synthesis of dimeric C-70 oxides. [Journal Item]

Full text not available from this repository.

Abstract

The greater lability of C-70 oxides towards oxygen release has been advanced recently to explain the failure to synthesise C140O from C70O; by contrast the analogous reactions with C-60 oxides result in the formation of fullerene oxide aggregates. The present report provides the first experimental evidence for the existence of oxides of the type (C-70)(2)O-n, resulting from gas-phase aggregation reactions when using matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization to study synthetic, high performance liquid chromatography-purified C-70 oxides.
