Abstract

O-acyl hydroxamic acid derivatives (1a-d, 6a-c, 8a-b) undergo base catalysed rearrangement to give secondary 2-acyloxyomides (4a-d, 7a-c, 9a-b) in moderate to excellent yields (56-98%). (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
