Abstract

We present magnetic, calorimetric and transport properties of CeCuGa3, which characterise CeCuGa3 as a magnetically ordered Kondo lattice system. The Kondo temperature T-K is estimated to be between 5.6 and 6.9 K. For the first time this system is shown to exhibit long-range magnetic order at 1.9 K. The system shows negative magnetoresistance in fields of up to 8 T.
