Abstract

Phytochemical investigation of the heartwood of Ochroma lagopus Swartz, led to the isolation of coumarins scopoletin (9) and cleomiscosin A (10); lignans boehmenan (11) and secoisolariciresinoyl diferulate (12), besides beta-sitosterol (6a), stigmasterol (6b) and a mixture of fatty acids and esters.
