Abstract

The budget problems of the Mexican government and its need to reduce the fiscal deficit have led to financial stress for many activities that used to depend economically on the government. This paper uses the contingent valuation method io estimate individuals' willingness to pay for consumption and preservation of the archeological zones in Mexico. Its purpose is to estimate the valuation of these archeological zones in order to study the opportunities for increasing and diversifying funding raising through the implementation of non-linear price schedules.
