Abstract

For invertible maps of the circle with two cubic critical points, called ''bicritical'', an additional invariant to the rotation number is identified, under smooth conjugacy. The way it evolves under renormalisation is derived. Conjectures are proposed about the dynamics of renormalisation on the space of bicritical circle maps.
