Abstract

We analyze distortions, excitations, and correlations of spins in a quantum antiferromagnet with a dynamic hole, using the hole wave functions obtained by us previously. It is found that spins around the hole are severely distorted and a confining structure is formed. Several localized modes of spin excitations are produced and the lowest one is of s symmetry. The spin fluctuations are very much enhanced due to the hole dynamic effects, in contrast with the static hole case. Our results are compared with those of numerical calculations and other approaches.
