Abstract
The triplex properties of the 6 x 6 Latin squares are described. Triplexes only occur in Latin squares I, III, IV, V, VII, VIII, X and XV; in all these squares except VII and VIII some triplexes can be partitioned into a directrix and a duplex. These partitions are considered in detail as are other triplex properties including the intersections of the triplexes with some of the duplexes that occur most commonly in (2(3)) partitions.
