Abstract

The diffusion coefficient of the web map for the different types of crystal symmetry is calculated analytically and compared with numerical results. An attempt to explain the behavior of the diffusion coefficient as a function of the perturbation parameter K is made. The symmetry of the web is found to have a significant effect on the diffusion of particles through it.
