Abstract

This obituary of Christine Bolt, formerly Professor Emeritus of History at the University of Kent, UK, who died in 2004, is written by a colleague. It focuses upon her professional career as a historian who made a considerable contribution to both American history and the history of the women's suffrage movement in Edwardian Britain.
