Abstract

Oblique stationary wave solutions of one-dimensional Hall-MHD with explicit pressure anisotropy are investigated using asymptotic analysis, and the results are compared to numerics. An analytic condition is found the existence of solitary waves. Pressure anisotropy is found to be a crucial for their existence. (c) 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
