Abstract

The main goal of the special issue is to understand better the dynamics of integrating Islam and Muslim minorities within the educational systems of older and younger pluralistic societies, examining reciprocal transformations that occur during this process. Two issues are discussed: the adaptation of norms, programs, and practices of public schools to the needs of Muslim students, and the evolution of the formal and real curriculum of Muslim private schools.
