Abstract

The advent of Modernising Medical Careers and the subsequent transition from the old style Senior House Officer (SHO) and Specialist Registrar (SpR) grades, to the new unified run-through grade, has caused much anxiety among junior doctors regarding the quality of their training and subsequent career prospects. There is reportedly a significant exodus of UK doctors looking for better training overseas, but how does training abroad fare?
