Abstract

This is the protocol for a review and there is no abstract. The objectives are as follows: To compare the two regional techniques of thoracic epidural blockade (TEB) and paravertebral block (PVB) in adults undergoing elective thoracotomy with respect to: analgesic efficacy; the incidence of major complications (including mortality); the incidence of minor complications; length of hospital stay; cost effectiveness.
