Abstract
The title of this article is from a comedy sketch by
Don McMillan, which prompted me to write this in
the first place.
I am sure we have all seen lessons or sat
through CPD sessions where everything being said
is on the PowerPoint slide. Since it is often quicker
to read than it is to listen to the speaker, boredom
quickly sets in. Or, worse, not being able to read
what is on the PowerPoint because the font is too
small or there are too many words on the page,
leads to frustration. Then there are the people who
have recently discovered clipart and animation and
have words flying in from all angles and irrelevant
pretty pictures appearing on every slide.
