Abstract
A stable aminal formed stereoselectively from (R,R)-N-tosyl-1,2-diphenyl-1,2-ethylenediamine (TsDPEN) is capable of asymmetric organocatalysis of Diels-Alder and alpha-amination reactions of aldehydes.
