Abstract
This article outlines the commandments of the law and policy discussions regarding the design of the religion and religious education in England until 2013. Advance will briefly discuss the current systems in Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The dual English system is explained with funding from both public (community) schools, as well as certain denominational schools. Clear is how to design curricula for religious ideological education was gradually transferred to local authorities, which the government at the national level less legal requirements covenant. Secularization and pluriformisering of society seem to have given changed targets for religious and ideological education, the main thrust and to a broadening of participants in the local design of the curriculum. This came more religious and philosophical traditions discussed. Government policy has a major impact in this area. The previous Labour government would focus on strengthening the cohesion of communities and would fit perfectly with the said policy. The current coalition government pursues policies that subjects other than religion / belief privileged, and local governments are less able to contribute to the joint curriculum. In addition, the training of specialist teachers of religion / belief come under pressure.
