Abstract

Social exclusion has become a major issue on national and international levels, and this international collection of papers, which emerged from a Regional Studies Association conference, focuses on the key themes of unemployment, public policy and gender issues. Based on empirical work, the authors examine the worsening international situation and the wide range of social exclusion policies and problems.
