Abstract

An attempt was made to study the extent of the problem of eating disorder in Indian women using the method of placing a notice in a women's magazine and on Facebook and referring respondents to questions on a website. The method was based upon a study conducted in the UK by Fairburn and Cooper over 30 years ago. In the UK study there were many respondents. In our study there were few. The reasons for this difference are not clear.
