Abstract
In its election manifesto the Conservative Party set out its ambition to make this the most vibrant and dynamic country in the world. Sustaining the UK’s economic success and delivering on its apprenticeships’ ambition depends on the skills, drive and talents of its people. There is a need to make the most of these and to give everyone the chance to enjoy the satisfaction and rewards that come from a successful working life. With a Government target now set to create 3 million more quality apprenticeships by 2020, there is an urgent imperative for individuals to be guided though an increasingly fast changing and complex education and labour market landscape.
