Abstract

A tunable frequency selective surface is presented and experimentally characterised over the 1.6-2.6 GHz frequency band within a rectangular waveguide and in free space. A tunability of about 6% in the waveguide and in free space is demonstrated using commercially available, low-cost, surface-mount radio frequency varactor diodes.
