Abstract
What inferences do double dissociations permit? Here we suggest that in
drawing such inferences it may be useful to utilise exemplar models of memory
and categorisation that have been independently developed outside
neuropsychology. We provide examples of the successful application of such
models to dissociation data, and then address serial position effects in amnesia.
