Abstract
The molecular and crystal structures of complexes with uranyl ion of carboxylate ions of varying type (mono- and polycarboxylate, aliphatic, aromatic, heterocyclic) are surveyed. The tendencies to form monomers on the one hand, or chains or sheets on the other, can be related to ligand size and functionality.
