Abstract
We carried out a diffraction profile shape study of a nearly perfect superconducting single crystal of the (Nd1.85Ce0.15)CuO4 compound in order to detect cooperative deformations associated to the superconducting transition, and check the existence of a superstructure,. No change in reciprocal space was detected around Tc. No superstructure reflexions or diffuse scattering could be observed up to a sensibility of 10(-5). The presence of a minority phase with a slightly larger c parameter was observed. It is attributed to inhomogeneities of Ce content inside the crystal.
