Abstract

Over the last few years at Warwick we have
enhanced our marketing in the library. We have
increasingly used segmentation, targeting and
positioning to identify specific user groups,
develop services to meet their needs and then produce
messages to encourage take-up of those services.
One such group with which we have been
keen to develop such relationships are academic
colleagues, whom we want not only as clients of
our services but as advocates, promoting us to
their students, and as our partners, to develop
new services that embed information provision
and skills into the curriculum, One such ‘service’
that we want to market to them is our academic
support as librarians.
