Abstract

The groups KOi are computed for real, complex and quaternionic spaces. A study is made of which elements in πnSn-i can be represented by a map f such that f(tx)= f(x) for a given involution t on Sn, for i=0,1,2,3. Certain elements in arbitrarily high stems are shown not to be represented by any such map. A computation is also made of the number of homotopy classes of multiplications on p3 and p7, this had been done for p3 by Naylor but the method used here is much simpler.
