Abstract
The Tiles for Tales workshop explores links between the craft of storytelling and technology. It shows how physical computing activities can be combined with creative and collaborative activities to support storytelling by young people.
A tile is a representation of a character or scene, partly animated through the use of LEDs controlled by ScratchX scripts running on a single computer or multiple computers. Tiles can then be used in a similar way to story stones, or story dice, to prompt a tale.
